Concurrent College Enrollment and Vocational Scholarships for Colorado Students
Investing in the Future of Colorado Students
Unlocking Educational Opportunities Through Financial Support
The Craig & Rhonda Williams Feeding Dreams Foundation is committed to creating pathways that empower young people to thrive—academically, personally, and professionally. As part of this mission, the Foundation provides grants to Colorado alternative education high schools and programs to expand access to concurrent enrollment and other postsecondary educational opportunities for their students.
Through our Concurrent Enrollment Grant Program, the Foundation partners with eligible Colorado alternative education schools to help fund opportunities that allow students to earn college credit, pursue career and technical education (CTE), attend technical or trade school courses, and participate in industry certification, apprenticeship, and other career-focused programs while completing their high school education.
Foundation grants may be used by participating schools to help cover costs associated with these opportunities, including tuition, fees, textbooks and course materials, tools, equipment, transportation, certification expenses, and other approved educational costs that might otherwise prevent students from participating. By providing funding directly to schools, we can help educators identify and support students who will benefit most while allowing each school to use grant funds in ways that best meet the needs of its students and concurrent enrollment programs.
Apply for a Concurrent Enrollment Grant
The Craig & Rhonda Williams Feeding Dreams Foundation provides grants to eligible Colorado alternative education high schools and programs to help expand access to concurrent enrollment and other postsecondary educational opportunities for their students.
Our goal is to help schools remove financial barriers that may prevent students from participating in college-level coursework, career and technical education (CTE), technical and trade school programs, industry certification programs, apprenticeships, and other approved educational opportunities.
Who May Apply
Applications should be submitted by an authorized representative of a Colorado alternative education high school or program. Applicants should describe their concurrent enrollment or related postsecondary program, the students they expect to serve, and the financial barriers the requested grant will help address.
How Grant Funds May Be Used
Grant funds may be used to support reasonable and necessary costs associated with approved educational opportunities, including:
- Tuition and enrollment fees
- Textbooks and course materials
- Tools, equipment, and required supplies
- Transportation associated with program participation
- Industry certification and testing fees
- Technical, trade, and career education expenses
- Other educational expenses approved by the Foundation
Grant funds must be used exclusively for charitable and educational purposes consistent with the mission of the Feeding Dreams Foundation.
What We Ask Schools to Provide
As part of the application, schools will be asked to provide basic information about the school or program; a description of its concurrent enrollment or postsecondary education opportunities; the anticipated number and characteristics of students who will benefit; the amount of funding requested and a proposed use of funds; and a brief explanation of how the grant will reduce barriers and expand educational opportunities for alternative education students.
If awarded a grant, the school or organization will be asked to provide a brief report to the Feeding Dreams Foundation following the grant period.
The report will include:
- Total amount of grant funds received and expended
- General description of how the funds were used
- Number of students benefiting from the grant
- Types of educational programs or opportunities supported
- Educational outcomes or accomplishments, when reasonably available
- Any significant unused grant funds
- A brief description of the grant's impact on participating students
Our Funding Philosophy
We recognize that every alternative education program and every student population is different. Rather than imposing a one-size-fits-all approach, the Feeding Dreams Foundation seeks to partner with educators who understand their students and can identify where financial assistance will have the greatest impact.
Our objective is simple: help more Colorado alternative education students gain access to educational opportunities that can lead to college, a skilled trade, a meaningful career, and a more promising future.
